The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
If you have signed up to our mailing list we will be collecting newsletter user statistics/analytics via Mailchimp.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
You or someone you have responsibility for are taking part in singing lessons, workshops or participating in some other way in a project run by Anna Braithwaite.
You have signed up to Anna Braithwaite’s newsletters via her website or given permission for Anna to put you on her mailing list via email, text or in person.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
We also receive contact information from schools that we teach in and through organisations that we work for where Anna Braithwaite is facilitating workshops or participatory activities.
If you are a student/participant, we use the information that you have given us in order to arrange sessions, payments and communicate important information for the smooth running of a project whilst you are still signed up/participating. Once the project is complete or lessons/participation is terminated you may request that your information be removed from our database by contacting: annabraithwaite@me.com. If we have had no contact with you for one year your contact data will be removed from our database.
Mailing List
You do not automatically get signed up to Anna Braithwaite’s mailing list if you have given us your contact details for another reason. If you have specifically signed up to Anna Braithwaite’s mailing list we will share with you information about the progress of Anna’s work and events that might be of interest. This tends to be about six times a year. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing directly to annabraithwaite@me.com or clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the latest newsletter. If our analytics say that you have not interacted with our correspondence for one year you will be asked if you want to be removed from our database, if we do not receive a response you will be removed.
Sharing your details
We do not give or sell your contact information or data to anyone else. We only share this information with close members of the Anna Braithwaite team who have been made aware of and have agreed to abide by this privacy policy.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting annabraithwaite@me.com
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
For those who have taken part in music lessons or participated in a project, we keep contact details for up to one year after our work with you is completed unless you ask us to remove it from our database before then. We will then dispose of your information by deleting it from our central database and from the records of anyone else who was acting on our behalf.
For those who have signed up to our newsletter we will keep sending you newsletters until you unsubscribe from the service. We will then delete your information from our database. User statistics/analytics are used to gauge the effectiveness of the information in our newsletters and to improve their content. Once you are deleted from the database this information is also deleted.
